Survey design and developmentDesign and development of survey instruments are core activities across all research areas at ARCPOH. Our researchers have expertise in a wide variety of instrument development strategies and techniques. At ARCPOH, we offer expertise in survey methods, usability testing, pretesting, and psychometric evaluation. We also have expertise in surveys involving area frame samples, and we have developed and use diverse systems to facilitate follow-up procedures. Our survey designers are experts in statistics, psychometrics, and survey methodology. We have conducted survey methods research concerning a broad range of topics and have developed skills in enhancing response rates and data quality in mail, telephone, and face-to-face, with techniques such as incentives, advance letters, and respondent-friendly questionnaire design. Our expertise in these areas brings invaluable skills to designing and developing
valid and reliable survey instruments. |
