Research Highlights

• Research report: ' Access to dental service among Australian Children and Adults' - state comparisons has been published.

• Data Watch article for December ADJ ' Oral health and access to dental care in Australia - comparisons by level of education' has been completed and is waiting proof checking.

• Analysis of data for AIHW DSRU Series report 'Trends in access to dental care among children ' is 80% complete. Structure of report prepared. Some tables and charts have been added. Commentary, summary, introduction and methodology sections are not yet started.

• CATI data weighted. Edits being compiled to edit CATI data to produce final weighted CATI dataset.

• “Australia’s dental generations: The National Survey of Adult Oral Health 2004–06”, has been launched by the Federal Minister for Health and Ageing, the Hon. Tony Abbott, at the 32nd Australian Dental Congress in Sydney. The report demonstrates how historical influences on oral health through the 20th century have created four distinct “dental generations” that now constitute the Australian adult population.
