The Child Dental Health Study
The Child Dental Health Survey (CDHS) provides descriptive yearly epidemiological
and service provision data concerning children’s dental health in Australia.
Data for the report is derived from examinations of children enrolled in the
School Dental Services in each State and Territory of Australia.

The tables and figures contained in the report describe the demographic
composition of the sample, deciduous and permanent caries experience,
extent of immediate treatment needs, prevalence of fissure sealants and
other relevant information. |
| State/Territory comparisons, national trends and international comparisons
are also provided. Each year a different theme is explored. In 1998,
attention was given to geographic differences in children's caries experience. |
